I'm back from the long weekend trip to the
Land of Thousand Smiles.Once again, it was nothing but fruitful :))
Darling boo, Cyndy, George and myself landed in bangkok
airport last Thursday afternoon and headed straight to
Asia Hotel which is near the hot shopping spots.
the bell-boy offers to carry our luggage but we decline
his help as our luggages are all brought there
empty, of course. :x

Hotel Lobby

we took our own sweet time shopping in Pratunam
and headed to silom village in the evening.
we took the tuk-tuk that honey has been wanting to
take back to the hotel to put our heavy
shopping bags down and that cost us 50bt
which is a little too much.
the next tuk-tuk that comes along, we paid only 20bt.
the thrill of bargaining is so so shiok!
After the boring Silom Village, we headed to Suan Lom Night Market
for supper and there, my darling drank german beer and ka-pok
the glass back!

The next day, b4 we conquered MBK and Khao San Rd,
Cyndy and i headed for cheap pedicure, no OPI nail polish
of cos. what do u expect for 100bt?!
Well, surprising the guys are not the ones who stay
late in beds. they went for foot massage while we r doing
our nails. :)
we visited the Erawan Shine (4-face Buddha)
in the evening b4 heading to Khao San Rd-the backpackers heaven.

Khao San Rd in the late late evening.
it was really happening with buskers,
tatoo studios and even ppl who can duplicate
and create ICs, student pass, permits etc!
Darling Boo sat in one of the pubs while waiting for us to
finish our 1km walk down the street and
he had 3 bottles of Chang Beer plus
a packet of Marlboro for appx S$10.00
The weekend finally burst in and we, the chatuchak-ers
were all excited to head for the famous chatuchak for
lotsa chatuchak-ing.
i have always like that 'pasar'. not to be missed in my
yearly trip there. can someone pls check
if chatuchak is one of the places in the book
'1000 places to see before you die' ? :)

did i not mention that the intense heat was almost unbearable?
at every corner, every turn, and almost every drink stall
that we see, we buy a bottle of water, sugercane or lime juice.
no worries for toilet becos my sweat gland just cant stop working!
Street Food is damn nice and damn cheap!
Almost every single dish/snack that i tried
was orgasmic! i'm serious!

The late day was a lazy day for me.
some went for a full body massage, some
went to do some last min shopping in MBK
and i spent half the morning in bed and
thinking of excuses how not to check out and fly back to Singapore.
Example: call daddy to tell him i'm broke and i have got
no money for hotel therefore i cant check out. and if
he ignores me, better still. I'll stay till he comes to
'save' me and the bill will be higher!
OR
call mummy to say i lost my air tickets.
-_-
ps: my daddy is in bangkok too, for work of cos.
oh, i miss bkk already...
